چکیده

We develop a generalized Extended Linear Hazard Regression (ELHR) model with linear time-varying coefficients to estimate reliability under normal operating conditions using failure time data obtained from accelerated conditions. The model considers the proportional hazards effect, time-varying coefficients effect as well as time-scale changing effect. Extensive simulation experiments demonstrate that the ELHR model provides more accurate reliability estimates than those obtained by the existing ALT models. We utilize this model to study the reliability of time-dependent-dielectric-breakdown of thermal oxides on n-type 6H-SiC using laboratory data. The results show that oxide reliability considerations effectively preclude SiC MOS devices from many high-temperature applications.

Differentiation between Electric Breakdowns and Dielectric Breakdown in Thin Silicon Oxides

It has been known for some time that non-destructive electric breakdowns precede destructive thermal dielectric breakdown. We have been studying both processes in oxides between 5 nm and 80 nm in thickness. We have shown that the electric breakdowns can trigger dielectric breakdown under certain conditions. This triggering of dielectric breakdown causes TDDB distributions to be nonunique. The T...

An Investigation on Stability, Electrical and Thermal Characteristics of Transformer Insulting Oil Nanofluids

Transformer insulating oil nanofluid is made to improve dielectric and thermal properties of the oil by employing nanoparticles with proper properties. In the current work, nanofluids based on transformer mineral oil were prepared by three procedures using diamond nanoparticles with high thermal conductivity, as well as high dielectric properties. It was tried to consider the impacts of surfact...
